Lois McNamara Luckner passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 93 1/2 years old.
Lois was deeply loved by her family and by the many people whose lives she touched throughout her long and meaningful life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Luckner, who passed in 1998; her parents, James and Louise McNamara; and her brother, James McNamara.
She is survived by her five children: Ginny Marschall (Bob), Nick Luckner (Colleen), Michael Luckner (Lori), Louise Bijesse (Bruce), and Lois Clinco (Billy). She is also survived by her younger sister, Kay Plankl (Walter). Lois was a proud and loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lois found joy in her family, her many friends, and the animals she cared for over the years, especially Smokey and Mittens. She was a devoted member of the NBFD Co#1 Ladies Auxiliary, serving for an extraordinary 65 years. She also enjoyed caffeine free Pepsi, video poker machines, and the color blue.
Lois showed her love through her loyalty, her caring nature, and simply being there for those she loved. She was steady, dependable, and deeply devoted to her family.
Her family is grateful for her life, the examples she set, and the opportunity to spend her final days with her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Salvatore “Joe” DiBartolo, 70 years old, of Howard Beach, Queens. Born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily on August 6, 1955 to Rosaria and Giuseppe DiBartolo. The baby of 9 children. Salvatore migrated to the United States with his sister Rosaria and mother in 1973 to build a better life where they settled in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
Salvatore married Maria Ameruoso in 1983, they had one child, Sabrina. Salvatore owned Pizzerias and later in his career went on to be a salesman for Montebello foods where he eventually retired.
Salvatore’s greatest passion was spending time with his pride and joy, his granddaughters, Pierra (8) and Lina (5). Salvatore is survived by his Wife Maria of 42 years; daughter Sabrina and son-in-law, Gary, granddaughters; Pierra and Lina; siblings; Mariana Fundaro, Caterina Difillipi, Rosaria Magro, Many nieces and nephews and friends who have countless stories, hysterical antics and memorable one liners. Salvatore was always there to help and often the life of the party who will be missed by all that knew him.

James “Jim” Cumisky, 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 14th, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on September 10th, 1951 in the Bronx to Harold and Patricia Cumisky, Jim attended Massapequa High School before venturing into the real estate industry, where he founded Quogue East Realty. He spent much of his life in East Quogue, where he raised his four sons: Devin, Ryan, Aidan, and Jack.
Jim was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and lived with an infectious enthusiasm. His dedication to family and friends, his warmth, and his positive outlook will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his four sons, and his siblings: Paul, Kevin, Anne, and Owen. He was predeceased by his sister, Grail.
Jim’s legacy is one of strength, kindness, and a true appreciation for life. He will be deeply missed.
