Thomas P. McGovern, 81, passed away on October 25, 2023.
Born on July 28, 1942 in New York City, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Yvonne, as well as his 5 children; Thomas Jr. (Joan), Gregory (Tashery), Eric (Cindy), Daniel (Danielle), and Jacquelyn, and his 9 grandchildren.
Loving brother of 5 siblings; James McGovern, Michael McGovern, Helen Piotrowski, Philip McGovern, and Margaret O’Connor.
Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a 25 year veteran of the NYPD, working in Harlem and Richmond Hill, and lived in East Meadow for the last 45+ years.
In lieu of flowers please dedicate any donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
