Edwina N Natoli
11/12/1938 – 8/21/2026
Edwina Melba Natoli, affectionately known as “Momma” and “Gigi,” passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on August 21, 2026 at the age of 87.
Born on November 12, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, Edwina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and teacher to many. Edwina was a wife for 68 years to her husband Carmelo, and the unbreakable bond that they created in this lifetime will continue to live on.
Edwina was a teaching assistant at P.S. 181 in Brooklyn and taught reading and math on all grade levels. Her passion was to make each child feel special and whose greatest gift was the way she made people feel heard and cared for.
She enjoyed cooking classic Italian dishes, and the kitchen is where she expressed her love for everyone. Above all, time spent with and around family is what brought her the most and fullest amount of joy.
Edwina is survived by her husband, Carmelo, daughter Nina (Keith), and son Michael (Linda) along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
While she will be greatly missed, Edwina leaves a lasting legacy and continues to impact all of the people that loved and respected her. May she rest in peace.
