Vincent (“Vinnie”) James Paradise, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 84. Born on December 27, 1939, in Ozone Park, New York to his late parents Josephine (Dina) and James Paradise, Vinnie was a cherished member of the community and a distinguished member of the New York State Bar who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who were fortunate to know him.
Vinnie lived a life full of family, friendships, laughter, and love. He and his adoring wife, Olga (Lancos) of 55 years shared an incredible bond and love story, famously marrying in the snowstorm of February 1969. Vinnie will be forever remembered and loved by his daughters Jo-Ellen (Jeff) Holbrook and Natalie (Jeff Bello) Belajonas. Vinnie was also the very proud and doting grandfather to Brianna, Alicia, and Thomas Belajonas, and Mia and Nicholas Holbrook, as well as the caring brother of Jerry (Linda), dear uncle of Gina (Paradise) Carroll, Stephanie Paradise, Dana Gasparec, Martina (Bill) Van Vynck, great-uncle to Emma, Liana and Mason Van Vynck, brother-in-law of MaryEllen and Jano Gasparec, and adopted uncle and brother-in-law to Peter, Eva, Adam and Ben Mihalik, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was also a loving cousin and loyal friend to so many.
Vinnie was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country in Vietnam. He spent almost 60 years as a successful attorney and was the founding partner of Nicolini, Paradise, Ferretti & Sabella LLC in Mineola, New York. He diligently served on the school boards of both North Merrick and Bellmore-Merrick for 20 years, advocating for both teachers and students.
He was an avid golfer, a longtime member, and club president of Rockville Links Country Club, playing as often as he could with his friends and family. He and Olga enjoyed wintering at Miramar Royal on Hutchinson Island, Florida where he served on the board of directors for 10 years. He was also an incredibly devoted and ardent fan of the New York Football Giants.
Vinnie will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all those lucky enough to have been a part of his long, wonderful life. His charm, generosity, sense of humor, kindness, and immeasurable love and compassion will forever remain cherished by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
May his soul find eternal peace and may his memory and way of life be a blessing and roadmap to all those who knew and loved him.

Do Not Weep For Me
Do not weep for me for I have not gone.
I am the wind that shakes the mighty Oak.
I am the gentle rain that falls upon your face.
I am the spring flower that pushes through the dark earth.
I am the chuckling laughter of the mountain stream.Do not weep for me for I have not gone.
I am the memory that dwells in the heart of those that knew me.I am the shadow that dances on the edge of your vision.
I am the wild goose that flies south at Autumns call and I shall return at Summer rising.
I am the stag on the wild hills way.
I am just around the corner. Therefore, the wise weep not.
But rejoice at the transformation of my Being.
